"I have a soft spot for Ismageriet’s ice cream and love exploring new cities, often daydreaming about what life would be like if I lived there."

what makes a good date for you

what makes a good

date for you

I love when people remember things I have mentioned and incorporate them into our date. For instance, if I have talked about an artist I like and they invite me to a concert featuring that artist, or even better, introduce me to a new artist in the same genre. It shows that they are good listeners and also a little bit creative.

In general I think Copenhagen is a more vibrant city compared to Oslo. There is always a cool new spot to test out or an interesting event to go to. Dining and drinking in Oslo can be quite expensive, which often leads to inviting dates over for dinner at home. Since relocating to Copenhagen, I have appreciated being able to eat out more and enjoy a glass of wine in the city.

favourite date activity

Right now, I am really into playing paddle. Whether it is a double date or just the two of you, it is a fantastic way to stay active while getting to know each other. Plus, it is a great opportunity to see how competitive your partner is. Which I think is important to know before getting too serious.

best date city

I recently travelled to Istanbul, which, in my opinion, is an excellent city for a date. There is so much to explore, from buying spices and jewellery at the local markets to relaxing in one of the many hammams. You can sip cocktails on a rooftop overlooking the water and enjoy all the amazing food the city has to offer.

Discovering new things together. A new restaurant, a new artist, a new destination, a new activity. Maybe learning a new recipe together? Go do a class together. Getting to share a new experience together, in my opinion, is the best way to create great memories and it teaches you a lot about the person you are dating.

what’s your favourite #grwm song for a date

Right now I am playing “Queen of the Night” by Aden Foyer on repeat. It gives you that little confidence boost before heading out.

24h date itinerary for Ålesund

24h date itinerary

for Ålesund

What Norway does best is its beautiful and scenic nature. Last year, we took a trip to Ålesund and the surrounding fjords, which are absolutely breathtaking at this time of year. I think a good date should include a bit of adventure and exploring new things together. I have therefore created a 24-hour date itinerary for visiting Ålseund and the surrounding areas. I would recommend spending some additional time, but a lot can be done in 24-hours.

Stay at the charming Hotel Brosundet located in the heart of Ålesund.

In the morning, wake up early to enjoy the hotel's spa, featuring a steam shower and two outdoor tubs. You can also go for a quick dip in the ocean from the hotel's private pier.

Then go a for a boat trip to Geirangerfjord. You can easily enjoy a boat trip from Ålesund into the fjord of Geiranger. There are ferries going back and forth throughout the day. The fjords have stunning waterfalls and steep, verdant cliffs, and Geirangerfjorden is one of Norway’s most picturesque and iconic fjords.

Arrive in Geiranger and embark on a guided kayak tour (or on your own if you are up for it) around Geirangerfjorden. Paddle through the crystal clear waters, taking in the majestic waterfalls and towering cliffs.

Lunch: In true Norwegian style, bring a packed lunch on the shore and enjoy a simple meal. After returning the kayaks spend some time walking around the charming village of Geiranger, visiting local shops, before heading back to Ålesund either by boat or car.

Dinner: After arriving back in Ålesund, enjoy a relaxing dinner at the local restaurant, Apotekergata No.5, known for its fresh seafood and cosy atmosphere.

Nightcap: If you're still up for it after a long day of exploring, head over to Vino Bar, the neighbourhood wine bar, for a glass of wine.

If you’re a Succession fan or want to make the trip a little more lux, book a stay at Juvet Landscape hotel, which offers a unique stay with its modern cabins featuring floor to ceiling views that blend seamlessly into the surrounding wilderness. This is also where they shot one of the episodes in Succession.
